This project is an immersive virtual reality application that teaches the concept of cloning and growing micro potato tubers using hydroponics. The simulation is aimed at learners who want to acquire basic knowledge of modern agricultural technologies
Game Description
The project aims to make complex agricultural technologies, in particular hydroponics, accessible to a broad target group through an immersive VR environment. The VR application offers a practical learning environment that gives both students and interested laypeople an understanding of potato cultivation using hydroponic methods and their cloning. Interactive modules and visual instructions provide a deep understanding of the processes and create a hands-on experience.
The learning process begins with an introduction to the controls and the basics of the virtual environment. Users go through various learning stations, ranging from the cell extraction process from potato eyes to cultivation in hydroponic systems. Finally, the content learned can be applied independently in a practical scenario.
Key Features:
- Three interactive areas:
- Introduction office: Explanation of the controls and course flow.
- Lab 1: Guided practical exercises.
- Lab 2: Independent tasks with result control.
- Information screens: Automatically adjust to the user's position to ensure optimum readability.
- Modular system: Presentation of the individual process steps for detailed and step-by-step learning.
- Teleporter navigation: Enables easy movement through the VR world.
- Growth phase in Petri dishes:
- Interaction with culture media and light conditions
- Simulation of cell growth under optimal conditions
- Hydroponic cultivation system
- Transplanting into a hydroponic system
- Control of nutrient and light parameters
- Development of micro potatoes as end product
